I just came across a blog you wrote in 2008 and this was frederica's comment:

my daughter will be Grade 3 this September, never had any EXAM YET!!! Even though there was some homework everyday (just few pages, not like KK bunch of it right?! :P) but mostly spelling practices, short essay, poem, etc. She is reading chapter books since beginning of the year and can finish a book within few hours! She knows lot of thing!! Seem like the education system is working, and most important, no pressure on kids!!! Both my kids love to go to school, they prefer to go to school rather than having school break!!
